SISTERHOOD
Alpha Phi is a sisterhood of outstanding women supporting one another in lifelong achievement. Founded in 1872 at Syracuse University, the sisterhood of Alpha Phi now stretches from coast to coast through 159 collegiate campuses and more than 200,000 members. Sisters share a commitment to excellence and a strong desire to help one another and their communities. Alpha Phis are leaders, scholars, contributors and lifetime members of a sisterhood that values these traits.
Alpha Phi assists collegiate women in reaching their highest potential, while standing "union hand in hand". Alpha Phi enhances and promotes each member's development and learning by focusing on our high ideals of Sisterhood, Generosity, Innovation, and Character.
Alpha Phi at TAMUC prides itself on the bonds of our sisterhood. We maintain a strong sisterhood by participating in intramural sports, holding sisterhood events, attending campus events and much, much more. Several girls within our chapter are student athletes, honors' & regents' scholars, or work a full time jobs. We strongly encourage our sisters to be involved on and off campus as well. To be a member of Alpha Phi is to be a part of a truly exceptional friendship that lasts far beyond your college experience!
